Dance Classes in Mandurah, Wicked Dance Works

WDW Uniform!

All students must wear suitable clothing and acceptable shoes.  Bare feet and thongs are not acceptable in Hip Hop or break dancing as it is dangerous.  Company t-shirts are required for everyone and cost $25, you can order these at reception.

Students with long hair must tie their hair back from their face.

 

Hip Hop, Break Dancing & Popping

Comfortable loose fitting clothing should be worn with sneakers, training shoes or lace up pumps. Both boys & girls should wear t-shirts (company logo) or singlets with pants or leggins that cover the knees.

Ballet

Twinkle Toe & Pre-Level Girls are required to wear a coloured leotard of any style and tights of any colour with pink ballet shoes. Hair must be in a bun and off the face. Tutu’s or ballet skirts can also be worn. Boys are required to wear a t-shirt of any colour (no logo or company logo only) black pants with black ballet shoes.

Ballet Pre-primary & Primary

Short sleeved Lilac leotard & wrap over skirt (colour to match leotard) & pink socks & pink soft ballet shoes (leather)

Grade 1 -2

Black leotard with matching elasticated belt & pink ballet tights & pink soft ballet shoes (leather) Black ballet skirt can also be worn.

Grade 3

Black Leotard with matching elasticated belt & pink ballet tights & pink soft ballet shoes (leather) Black ballet skirt can also be worn.

Character

Character skirts should be in black cotton material, with braiding which complements the colour of the leotard, and either circular in style or gathered at the waist, although the former is preferable. The hem of the skirt should be approximately 3 inches (7.6cm) below the knee

Character shoes must be worn and should ideally be black canvas. These are available in two heel sizes- low heel in sizes 3-7 (including half sizes) and Cuban in sizes 2-8 (including half sizes). The Cuban heel should ideally be worn from Grade 3 onwards

Standard black leather Character shoes are acceptable as an alternative other colours may be worn.

Shoes should be fitted with pink elastic.

 

Gold Star/Inter foundation

Black Leotard with matching elasticated belt & pink ballet tights & pink soft ballet shoes (leather) Black ballet skirt can also be worn.

Jazz

Primary Jazz 7-9 yrs Girls are required to wear black jazz pants or leggings with a black leotard and jazz shoes. Hair should be off the face. Boys are required to wear black jazz pants and black t-shirt with jazz shoes.

Junior/ Pre-Senior Jazz 10+ Girls are required to wear black jazz pants or leggings with a black leotard and jazz shoes. Hair should be off the face. Boys are required to wear black jazz pants and black t-shirt with jazz shoes.

Tap

Kindy Jazz & Tap

Girls – Blue Leotard, black leggings or shorts (tight). Black dance cardigan, Hair up in bun, tap shoes from week 4/5 and jazz or ballet shoes from week 1/2.

Boys – Plain or company t-shirt, black pants. Tap shoes from week 4/5 and jazz or ballet shoes from week 1/2.

 

Primary

Girls – Blue Leotard, black leggings or shorts (tight). Black dance cardigan, Hair up in bun, tap shoes from week 2.

Boys – Plain or company t-shirt, black pants. Tap shoes from week 1/2

 

Junior & Pre-Senior

Girls – Black Leotard, black leggings or shorts (tight). Black dance cardigan, Hair up in bun, tap shoes from week 2.

Boys – Plain or company t-shirt, black pants. Tap shoes from week 1/2

 

Contemporary & Lyrical 

All classes – Black leotard, black shorts (tight), leggings, yoga or harem pants. Bare feet or foot thongs if necessary. Wicked leggings, shorts, tops and crops are acceptable.

 

Acro

All classes – Black leotard & black shorts (tight) or Wicked clothing acceptable.

 

Musical Theatre

All classes – Company t-shirt and black pants/ leggings. Jazz Shoes. Wicked clothing acceptable.

 

Drama

All classes – Company T-shirt,  black pants or leggings. Comfortable closed toe shoes. Wicked clothing acceptable.

Adult Classes

Gym attire will be suitable for all.
